Requesting a Temporary Restraining Order Before a Permanent Restraining Order

Orange County Civil Harassment Restraining Order Attorney

If you need immediate protection from someone who has been harassing you, you should request a restraining order.  You will also have the opportunity to request a temporary restraining order.

The temporary restraining order is an ex parte hearing.  This means that the other party does not have to be present.  This is an important tool in obtaining immediate protection because it will require the person who has been harassing you to stay away before the restraining order hearing is heard.

The temporary restraining order will last for about 21 days.  You must serve the proper documents and then argue your case in front of a judge to obtain a permanent restraining order.

If you need to request a restraining order or defend yourself against one, call the Law Offices of Nam Q.
